Frequently asked questions

How do I know which type of toilet unit to select?
We offer a wide range of toilet facilities to suit every occasion and budget.
Please examine the descriptions, photos, and specifications on our website, and contact our Hire Department on 024 76336411 for further advice and information.

What do I need to provide for the toilets/showers to operate?
Please look on the Specification tab of the item you are interested in. This will give you the information you require.

Do I need to provide any water?
All are self-contained units require a hose pipe, to initially fill the tanks on arrival and it is advised to have the hose pipe available for refilling the wash hand basins, should this be required during heavy usage.

The mains connected units and showers all require a constant water supply and a suitable waste water drain or tank.

Do I need to provide electricity?
All our self-contained units require a power supply from either the mains or a generator (3.5KVa minimum) is required.

Do you supply generators?
Yes we normally supply generators for the larger events where attendants are on site to ensure the generators are topped up with fuel.

Are there lights in the toilets?
All our units have lights internally.

Do I need to provide drainage?
Yes mains drainage is required for the showers and mains connected toilet units.

Do I have to provide toilet rolls and other consumables?
All our units are supplied fully stocked upon arrival. On larger events we do normally provide a quotation complete with consumables, however a quotation can be offered without consumables should you require.

What methods of hand washing facilities are supplied?
We provide warm water hand washing facilities with the Mains, Superior and Sovereign units. However the Superloo, Disabled and 1 +1 have cold water to the wash hand basins. All units are supplied with soap or hand wash dispensers.

Will the toilets need servicing?
This will be depend on the type and duration of your event. This can be discussed at the time of your quotation. For events taking place over a number of days, we would normally recommend a service or that you have our attendants on site for the duration of the event.
Can you provide an attendant service?
Yes. The attendant/s would be there to maintain the toilets through the event and also to provide technical assistance.
What happens to the waste from the toilets?
All waste will be collected and taken to a waste disposal site. We arrange the service with a local registered waste carrier.

What access is required to the site & how will the toilets be delivered?
We would normally expect good access with firm level ground, should the access be difficult a site visit would be required in advance of the event.

When will the toilets be delivered?
Delivery/collection usually takes place Monday-Friday, although weekend delivery/collection can be arranged on request for an additional cost.
Delivery schedules are planned and sent in advance to all our clients for larger events. For smaller events, a mutual convenient time will be arranged with our Transport Department.

Will there be an emergency number for me to contact in the event that there is a problem?
Yes. If you have a problem out of hours a contact number will be available.

Do I need to arrange insurance in case of damage or vandalism to the equipment at my event?
Yes, it is the responsibility of the hirer to arrange insurance cover for all hired in equipment.
